Lenovo
2003–2015
In 2002, CEO Yang Yuanqing decided to abandon the Legend brand name to expand internationally, as "Legend" was already in use by many businesses worldwide, making it impossible to register in most jurisdictions. In April 2003, the company announced its new name, Lenovo, a portmanteau of "Le-" from the previous "Legend" and "novo", Latin ablative for "new".
2015–present
In May 28, 2015, Lenovo changed its logo for the first time in 12 years, changed its font and the letter 'L' was changed from lowercase to uppercase. This logo uses the same font as the current Google logo.
