2008–2009[]
Liberty Entertainment was formed in March 2008 as the third tracking stock of Liberty Media alongside Liberty Capital and Liberty Interactive.
In 2009, assets of Liberty Entertainment were spun-off from Liberty Media and merged with DirecTV, and the tracking stock was renamed to Liberty Starz, logo of which retained the green color of Liberty Entertainment.
