National School Studios was officially incorporated in March 1948.
On August 1, 1984, National School Studios became present-day Lifetouch Inc., accompanied by the relaunching of its divisions, including National School Studios as Lifetouch National School Studios. Then-president of the company Richard P. Erickson said at the time that this famous script-based logo "looks like we’re signing our work."
This logo is still used as a secondary logo as it still appears on print photographs. It is also still used at its Eden Prairie, MN headquarters, as well as Prestige Portraits locations. It also still briefly appeared on its website when the next logo was introduced, being used until the closure of Shutterfly's acquition of Lifetouch on April 2, 2018.
