Championnat De France - D1[]

1998–2002[]

D1-verti-1998

Despite the league's inaugural season being in 1930 (and 1932 when it was turned professional), the league didn't have a logo until 1998, after the World Cup was hosted there. Before using the now globally acceptable name of Ligue 1, the French top flight was named the Championnat de France D1 (French Championship Division One). Division Two was named similarly, also with a similar logo.

Ligue 1[]

2002–2008 (Ligue 1 Orange)[]

LIGUE 1 - 2002

Coinciding with the renaming of the Ligue Nationale de Football, the organizers of the league, to the Ligue de Football Professionnel, and the expansion of the league to 20 teams in 2002, the Championnat de France D1 was renamed to Ligue 1 (League One) and signed a deal with Orange. The player symbol on the logo is taken directly from the said organization and continues to be used for the next 18 years to signify professional football.

2007–2016[]

Ligue 1 logo

The league's first change since its renaming came in 2007, the season after the league's current trophy, L'Hexagoal, was first awarded, which is the centrepoint of this logo, as symbols resembling L'Hexagoal are seen on a sphere like a football. The LFP symbol was kept.

2016–2020 (Ligue 1 Conforama)[]

Ligue1-verti-2016

9 years after the previous logo's introduction, the 2007 logo was placed in a neon box.

2020–2022 (Ligue 1 Uber Eats)[]

Another rebranding of the LFP meant that the logo which has been around for 13 years had to be changed. The new symbol, still inspired by L'Hexagoal, is more simplified compared to the previous one.

2022–2024 (Ligue 1 Uber Eats)[]

Ligue1-verti-2022

Coinciding with the decrease of the league from 20 to 18 teams for the first time since 2002, the 2020 logo has a slight modification: The Uber Eats wordmark is now in a single color - white.

2024-present (Ligue 1 McDonald's)[]

Ligue1-verti-2024

Starting from the 2024/25 season, while the LFP logo hasn't changed, the two professional divisions of France have. The new logo ditched L'Hexagoal in favor of a new symbol combining the characters L and 1. Despite parting ways with Uber Eats, Ligue 1 continued the tradition of food-related partnerships by controversially signing a deal with McDonald's.
