In April 1997, Linotype was acquired by Heidelberg. To reflect this, it changed its logo.
Monotype Imaging acquired Linotype in August 2006. It announced the soon closure of its online store in August 2023, said change being applied on March 28 of the following year, although the company's name is still being used.
