Litton Industries was a United States company founded in 1953 by inventor Charles Litton, Sr. It manufactured both military hardware (including equipment for ship navigation, communications and electronic warfare) and consumer goods (including microwave ovens and typewriters). It was purchased by and absorbed into Northrup Grumman Corp. in 2001.
