2006–2013
Local TV LLC was formed in 2006 by Oak Hill Capital Partners to acquire 9 television stations owned by The New York Times Company. This was followed in December 22, 2007 with the acquisition of 8 stations owned by News Corporation's Fox Television Stations division. On July 1, 2013, Tribune Broadcasting announced it would buy the company outright. The sale was completed on December 27th.
