On December 16, 2013, Loehmann's declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy for a 3rd and final time. On January 8 of the following year, it began liquidating all its remaining stores, with the final one closing down later on February 26, where it exclusively began operating online (following the lead of Linens 'n Things, Circuit City, The Sharper Image, etc.).
On August 4, 2018, the Loehmann's website was officially deactivated after having last been seen with an "Under Construction" page, effectively shuttering the Loehmann's name for good.
