Note to Requesters

Becoming an administrator is a big responsibility. Administrators work very hard to maintain Logopedia and keep it running. This is not something that is handed out frequently or without thought. Only the most trustworthy, active, and knowledgeable users are granted adminship. For more insight into what this means and what it requires, please continue reading.

Before you continue, please read the entirety of the administrators page. You must know the ins and outs of being an administrator before requesting to be one. Administrators have a lot of power, and thereby have significant responsibility. If you do not think you will be able to properly handle that power and make responsible decisions, this is not for you.

I know I can handle being an administrator. What are the requirements to becoming one?
While bureaucrats do have some flexibility in deciding who becomes an administrator, there are a set of base guidelines that they look for in reviewing requests:

User is able to communicate in a near-native fluency of English.
User has been editing on Logopedia for at least one full year.
User has not been blocked within the past year of editing. Users who were blocked by hackers, administrator abuse, or blocked for only one day will not have their blocks count as an offense.
User has not previously requested for adminship within the past 6 months.
User has proven knowledge of Logopedia and its policies. This means that they follow editing guidelines, they fix and improve pages, they upload high quality logos and follow copyright rules, etc.
User is active in fighting vandalism, sockpuppetry, and policy-breakers. This means that their editing history provides evidence of assisting administrators (i.e. editing talk pages of admins to alert them of destructive users), reporting users, and undoing/rollbacking poor or nonconstructive edits.
User is an autoconfirmed, active, constructive editor. If you are applying here, you must have at least 1000+ edits.

I satisfy (or mostly satisfy) all of the above requirements. What now?
Remember that when you become an administrator, you are expected to increase in activity and effectiveness. If you are granted adminship, you are expected to edit often and use your powers responsibly. You are expected to continue doing all of the above and more. This includes logging-on daily, responding to user reports, responding to messages or questions on your talk page, monitoring the recent changes, participating in wiki discussions, maintaining the front/Logopedia/MediaWiki pages, joining the administrator Discord chat room, and constructively utilizing administrator abilities. If your request is approved and you are inactive or caught abusing your powers, bureaucrats and/or Wikia staff members reserve the right to remove your rights and punish you accordingly.

If you truly believe you are a fit to become an administrator, then we wish you luck! Be aware of how the requesting process works. This is a voting process. All users are permitted to vote, whether or not they are an administrator. They will either support, oppose, or comment. After a request is published, Logopedia editors have 2 months to vote. After the 2 months are up, a bureaucrat will review the votes and make a decision. If 2 months are up and a bureaucrat has not responded to a request, feel free to notify a bureaucrat on their talk page. You are not permitted whatsoever to edit in the support or oppose sections. You may add or reply to comments, but you may not modify or remove others' comments. If you are caught trying to influence editors to vote or change their vote, your request will be disqualified. Cheating, incivility, and harassment is prohibited. The Instructions section below will guide you on how to publish a request.

Hello. Over the course of the 10 years this wiki has been around, I have consistently kept tabs on it over the years (though I only signed up in 2019), and edited anonymously for a while in the early days. Over these 10 years I have seen it change and take on challenges very well with strong yet fair leadership, a rarity in communities of this size. As for my own credibility for adminship, I believe that I undertake a range of activities on the wiki, and enjoy doing so. I also enjoy giving guidance to new users, as we've all needed it, and engaging with the Logopedia community. Yes, I have made many mistakes, and won't conceal that fact. However, when I am given advice, I use it to change what I've done, and I like to think that I learn from what I do wrong. Upon receiving advice, I would like to quickly clear a few things up surrounding the 2010 thing: I was fairly young when I found out Logopedia for the first time. I am aware my claim has little basis. I kept tabs on the wiki for a while (I was a little anxious about signing up, being fairly young). Hello. So, I'm finally convinced myself to file an admin request after 4 years contributing in Logopedia. Many things happened on this wiki since i officially joined in 2017 and i think i'm ready for a next chapter. I'm still working on compile some brands in categories, making vectors of logos, tracking and arranging the logos regarding on the histories, fighting vandalists, fix wrong informations, even made some montages and also many things to come, and it would be easier for me if i become an admin. With the "argument" NYC101 mentioned, I think that should not be a reason for opposing the request as it happenned nearly 2 years ago, he has apologised and nothing has come up similar to the incident since . Also, his English is not that good but you can still understand it and I'm sure he'll improve, and using this as an example, WXDS needed to work on his English and he was supported in his request and it was approved so why shouldn't Archiekins21's request have the same outcome? I'm afraid I have to oppose this one. You have been editing for a good amount of time now and you are doing a good job with editing and reporting. However, I have two major concerns. One of those concerns that you made way too many grammatical mistakes in your request. I understand you are Indonesian of course, but Logopedia is an English wiki and if you wish to become an admin you need to work on your English grammar. In addition, I do not know if you remember your argument with Celcomtel-Proximanova back in January 2019, but while you were correct, the way you dealt with the situation was absolutely wrong. You cannot say things like "what's wrong with you?" or "I'm done with you", that is not appropriate admin behavior. In fact, I actually could have blocked both of you for that, but I chose not to. After thinking for a while, I have decided to apply for admin in Logopedia, I have been editing in Logopedia since 2016, at first I was blocked for replying to vandals despite being warned so, but then I learnt my lesson, asides from that, I have been helping on Logopedia and been actively reporting sockpuppets/vandals or catching vandalism, fixing categories and format of pages, later on I started to make SVG images for pages in need of a SVG and I started to be more active on the wiki. I also met most of the requirements of being an admin such as being fluent on English, editing in previous years and have a total of 1.000 edits (now at 2.500). -- 00:44, August 26, 2020 (UTC)

I'm also opposing your request. Your editing activities on Logopedia have went down over the past year, and I think it's because you're involved with so many different wikis per your user page. You've also expressed your desire to try to get as many user rights on as many wikis as possible. To prove my point, you attempted to request admin rights on a wiki that barely has any activity at all. Fandom staff has expressed concern that you're adopting too many wikis and not taking time to care for the wikis in which you already have admin rights. Other editors have expressed similar concerns. I have been thinking about becoming an admin for a while now and I think I meet all the requirements. I am active nearly every day and report vandals, sockpuppets, etc., when I come across them. I also do a lot of cleanup, add catagories and add new logos to pages. If I were to become an administrator, I would become more active in blocking users.
