What is "rollback"?
Rollback is the ability to revert multiple edits by a single user with one click. Someone with the rollback ability is a "rollbacker." Rollbackers are able to, through either the Recent Changes or the history of a page, click "[rollback]" and automatically undo a series of edits. Let's say a vandal comes along and severely damages a page, publishing multiple negative edits on this page. In order to repair the damage, a user without rollback permissions would have to edit the page and manually restore it to its former state, or do one or more undos. A rollbacker can simply go to the history of the page in question and click "rollback." Voila!

Awesome! What do I need to do in order to become a rollbacker? There are no set requirements that need to be fulfilled in order to be a rollbacker. However, you must prove yourself trustworthy, and you must prove that you will actually use these the rollback feature. Users who are granted rollback are vigilant: they are always on the lookout for vandalism. When they spot it, they take action: they swiftly revert/undo the edits, warn the vandal, and report them to User Reports. If this sounds like you and you want a tool that will speed up your cleanup of Logopedia, you will likely be a great candidate for rollback.

I want to become a rollback! What do I do? Thorough instructions on applying to become a rollback are included below. After you publish your request, a bureaucrat will look over your request. This process is very simple: There is no voting, only an approval or a rejection. If a bureaucrat approves your request, they will proceed to grant you the rollback permission. Please remember that this tool can cause harm if used incorrectly or maliciously. Do not be afraid to ask questions if you are just starting to use it. If you are caught abusing the rollback tool, the tool will be removed and you will be punished accordingly. Patrol wisely! :)

I would like to become a rollbacker because I report and undo vandals like RobertJ, and becoming a rollbacker would make rollbacking mass-vandalism a lot easier and help confront vandalists quicker. I've not have been on this website (through an account) for long, but my mission is to make sure Logopedia is a safe place to look at the history of logos, like a Wikipedia for logos, but with a smaller, better community. But these vandals make sure we don't have a good time. They want to year apart this website as much as possible, and they make sockpuppets look like angels (they're not, but they're less annoying), and while the current way of me reverting vandalism works, it would be a lot quicker to have the ability to rollback. If I do anything wrong to this website on purpose with the intention of throwing the wiki into the mud, please take rollbacking from me. But I don't want to do that, I take trust with pride and would never abandon it. You can put out a first with a hose, but you want to use an extinguisher to take out the fire right. I know that that was a terrible analogy, and I may sound like Dwight Schrute from The Office, but I will take a bullet for this wiki. 2021 (D'animation Studios) 20:20, 22 December 2020 (UTC)

Because this will help making reverts of sockpuppets easy. This will be especially helpful for cleaning up after certain users too and will be quicker than pressing "undo" over and over. IanDevilbiss1 (talk) 21:31, 6 January 2021 (UTC)

I have been here in Logopedia for 6 months. And I have decided that I should become a rollbacker since I always report some vandals like TARNAFES, Kang, Bogdan, Brock, etc. I also undo their edits if their Infos are not necessary, removing their content from pages, etc. That might help me revert their edits easier than the "undo" one since there are not enough undos to attempt reverting their multiple edits. I would like to apply for rollback since I occasionally undo edits either by vandals (i.e. Jordanene, Nate, Daniel Garica, Tekken) or certain mistakes, sometimes attempting to undo multiple edits is not enough. I do also report vandals though. Rvandres (Q) 16:01, August 31, 2020 (UTC)
