Policy violations: Deleting contributions of others so he can upload poorly made SVGs. He claims that they are quality remakes of logos, whereas in fact they're the exact opposite. Comment Comment. I wouldn't say he's a vandalous user not in the slightest, but when a vector gets uploaded to this site it needs to be polished, and I mean extremely polished. Not just thrown together in a couple of minutes to get it onto the site quickly, I mean several hours need to be put into it to make sure it's clean, sharp, and symmetrical. Now I really hate to bash on a person's work I really do but look through [this image's] history for an example, Don originally replaced [an image] on the Universal Television page with a seriously mangled vector that seemed to have been put through the "Trace Bitmap" feature in Inkscape, people have complained to me so I came along and remade it from scratch. I have noticed a spike in SVG vector uploads that he and several others have made, especially print logos that do not exist in stationary form other than on-screen captures. I should remind you all that this wiki's main focus is to document authentic logos from the many companies profiled here, not a platform to show off your vector skills. To those of you who post that SVG tag in articles, please state a valid reason other than you "don't like JPEGs, PNGs and non-transparent backgrounds." Comment Comment. Hello, everyone. Just to be as clear as the 4K Ultra High Definition Picture: I love SVG as much as I love JPEG, PNG, and non-transparent backgrounds. Also, I'm not ready to afford Adobe Illustrator just yet nor am I ready to afford pricey font downloads. Dontryl Alexander supports me faithfully recreating logos in SVG as well as converting them to SVG. Also, I have increased the quality of some of my SVG recreations to 1,000 pixels or more to make the quality high. For example, I did my SVG recreation of the on-screen opening credit wordmark for the 2006 Warner Bros. Picture Superman Returns without tracing a bitmap. Oh, and I did some faithful high-quality SVG recreations that I uploaded. Then some people downloaded my recreations to revise them and decrease the quality and re-upload them, like this one, which I have later re-sized; just click "File History." I promise to avoid using the "trace bitmap" section of Inkscape--which I do not always use when it comes to SVG recreations--from now on, if you want me to. Also, I do welcome those who may faithfully revise my SVG recreations/conversions even for the purpose of fixing errors to make them "extremly polish" as Logofanatic say. Oh, and I did NOT use the "trace bitmap" for the 1973 Universal TV logo that I have RECREATED in SVG; I did NOT convert the JPEG file of that said logo to SVG at all. Comment Comment. Yes. Although Yahoo! Search was introduced in 1995 whatsoever according to Wikipedia, the logos are actually the same. Digifiend was able to find a Yahoo! Search logo with the 2009 Yahoo! logo with the word SEARCH in gray. I found one with the 2002 logo which I will upload right after posting this. The biggest notice is the page you mentioned (Microsoft Windows) where he added a SVG of the 1992 logo in pink and cyan claiming it was on Janus Beta 2. After doing research on YouTube, I found out the Betas bootscreen actually has the real logo except for the pink and cyan cut off version he posted. Not only that, but on that same exact page, he added a SVG of the 1990 logo when basically he recreated it and added colors to the Windows which in reality the logo was completely black and white also in a very bad quailty still. It was also a thumbnail, according to source edit. I removed the better quailty needed template and replaced the SVG he made with better quailty (in black and white). I told him if there was proof if the Janus Beta 2 logo is real and he has never responded. So I think it is completely fake and I'm going to remove it later.
