Although the print equivalent of the logo retired in 1986 when becoming "KLV-TV", this still used on releases until late 1987.

In 1986, Karl-Lorimar created the "KLV-TV" brand, promoted as a "television network" where "the viewer is the programmer" despite not being an actual television station.

After the next logo was introduced, the logo was still used on VHS and Betamax labels. The logo on covers and packaging was used for only a few monhts before being replaced by the logo below.
