First used November 4, 1965. The wordmark would be retained for the following logos, though until 1997, this was used as the sole logo, with the S appearing to be in a different font.

1997–2008

The background added to the logo in this version was based on the design of the chain's stores.

2008–present

In 2008, the red outline and "Home Improvement Warehouse" text were dropped, and the wordmark was enlarged and slightly altered. In 2011, the company adopted the slogan "Never Stop Improving"; this would be replaced with "Do it right for less. Start at Lowe's" in 2019, which was later replaced by "Home to Any Possibility" in 2021, and then "Lowe's knows home improvement." in 2023.
