Lubalin, Peckolick Associates was a New-York based design firm founded by Herb Lubalin (1918-1981) as Herb Lubalin, Inc. after his 1964 departure from Sudler Hennessey & Lubalin.
Ernie Smith and Tom Carnase became partners of the firm, which in 1967, changed its name to Lubalin, Smith, Carnase, Inc.

Upon the arrival of Alan Peckolick in 1975, the new group’s initials were abbreviated.

With the addition of Tony DiSpigna and others, the firm became simply Herb Lubalin Associates.

Smith and Carnase left to rejoin S&H in 1980, so the firm continued as Lubalin, Peckolick Associates with Herb and Alan at the helm, until Herb’s death in 1981. Subsequently, Alan Peckolick began a partnership with Push Pin Studios in 1982, known as Pushpin Lubalin Peckolick.
