Though this logo was used, it was never seen on any VHS tapes distributed by the company in favor of the next logo.
1997-2001
On March 11, 1997, Lyrick Studios debut with a new type of logo. The letters in its logo were black with a different color connecting to them and a blue dot for the i.
On February 9, 2001, Lyrick Studios was acquired by HIT Entertainment. HIT only used the logo and company name to reference Lyrick-related merchandising and shows until its folding on August 31. After HIT was acquired by Mattel, the name of the company disappeared in 2012.
Note
Although Lyrick Studios is an overall independent children's studio, it didn't always release its titles on its own. It once had a deal with PBS to distribute Barney & Friends, under its PBS Kids label, but during the television release only, as Lyrick fully owns that title on video. It also had a deal with PolyGram Filmed Entertainment to distribute the 1998 full length feature film Barney's Great Adventure.
