On August 20, 2010, TVNorge announced the launch of its third TV channel. It was to be called MAX and was primarily targeting men. The channel launched on November 1, 2010.

Swedish design agency Dallas Sthlm were behind the visual identity for the channel. The logo is similar in design to its sister channel FEM, but uses green colour. The overall visual identity is also primarily green.
