On May 25, 1983, WNVC signed on air as a sister station of WNVT.

On September 1, 1994, both WNVC and WNVT rebranded as World View TV, airing international programming along with PBS's daytime programming. On January 1, 2000, both stations disaffiliated from PBS and began retransmitting Canadian channel MuchMusic.

On 2001, both WNVC and WNVT became stations of MHz Networks, rebranding as MHz1 and MHz2, respectively.
VPM World[]

On February 3, 2020, WNVT and WNVC became affiliates of PBS sister channel World, after a FCC station reallocation.
