In 2012, Matahari went into a large restructuring that spun off its non-core assets, including Matahari Department Store. Therefore, the logo changed into the one used by its owned Hypermart chain.

In 2014, Matahari Putra Prima overhauled its corporate logo after the divestment of Matahari Department Store, and start to use the MPPA Retail Group name, which derived from the company's ticker symbol.
