This is the longest-used and arguably most well-known MSN logo. Due to its wide use from 2000-2010 on many of Microsoft's products, it can still be found on certain webpages on some portals or within certain software, such as [[MSN Explorer]]. This logo is still even being used on the MSN Member Center website using the [[Microsoft Windows|Windows XP]]-style look and feel, and in the Microsoft Update site in [[Microsoft Windows|Windows Vista]], alongside the 2003 [[Microsoft Office]] logo and the 1987 [[Microsoft]] logo.

On December 29, 2009, saw the rise of a redesign MSN interface and branding but didn't permanently take effect until early 2010. Brand New rated this logo the 2nd worst of 2010, after [[Bing]], another Microsoft product. However, this logo was still being used for [[Ninemsn]] until 2016. This is still used in some parts of MSN Games.

Msncom-1996.png|MSN was launched on August 24th, 1995. It wasn't designed to give full internet access. In 1996, Microsoft released Internet Explorer 2.0 and MSN became a website starting off as a custom start page from 1995-1998.
