MSNBC 1996–2006 MSNBC was founded in 1996 by Tom Rogers.
1996–2000 This was the most well-known logo by MSNBC.
2000–2006 In 2000, the letter "N" in the logo was changed from red to black.
2006–2009 The logo was changed to horizontal form in 2006, making the logo look similar to CNBC .
2009–2015 This logo, with the letters in lowercase form, first appeared on MSNBC.com in April 2007, and was launched on screen on June 27, 2009, as the station started broadcasting in high-definition.
2015–present The letters returned to uppercase form on August 18, 2015, retaining the same typeface as the previous logo.
