Magyar Távirati Iroda (English: MTI, Hungarian Telegraph Office) is a Hungarian news agency. It is one of the oldest news agencies in the world, having been founded in 1881.
The company is owned by MTI Rt., founded by the Parliament. The members of the Owners' Advisory Body are elected by the National Assembly of Hungary for a four-year term. The company is one of the market leaders and is considered to be a 'balanced and reliable source'. Despite this, the majority of the major Hungarian newspapers are owned by foreigners. To overcome its technology deficit, the government must provide funding.

Magyar Távirati Iroda, as well as the three other public media organizations managed by the MTVA, were merged into one single organization known as Duna Media Service (Hungarian: Duna Médiaszolgáltató). The organization is the legal successor to Magyar Távirati Iroda, but the news agency of the same name is still active.
