2013–2021[]

After 23 years, Grupo Abril ceased to broadcast the original Brazilian incarnation of MTV on its free-to-air network on September 30. Viacom (now Paramount) relaunched MTV in Brazil as a cable television channel on October 1.

2021–present[]

The logo was first used on air during the broadcast of the MTV MIAW 2021 on September 23, and after its broadcast, the old 2013 logo returned. On October 28, 2021, the logo began being used on air.

As reported by multiple news sources in Brazil, Paramount Skydance will discontinue all of its paid TV channels in the country on December 31st, 2025.
