MTV was the Romanian version of the music-oriented television network MTV, launching on June 15, 2002, replacing MCM Romania. On December 18, 2007, Pro TV SA bought MTV Romania from Music Television System SRL, which owned MTV Romania's license.^[1] Eventually, on March 1, 2019, MTV Romania was closed, being replaced with MTV's European feed.

On June 15, 2002, MCM Romania was replaced by MTV Romania.

On March 1, 2019, MTV Romania shut down and was replaced by MTV Global.
