MTunes was a Hindi music channel in India. Launched on 8 August 2011 in HD, it was the first HD music channel in India; an SD feed followed later. It shut down on 9 July 2017. Later, Pen India Limited bought the rights to the MTunes name, but it is yet to launch a new MTunes channel.
Other Hindi HD music channels in India include UTV Stars HD, Pepsi MTV Indies HD and Sony Rox HD, all of which have also shut down; as well as MTV Beats HD.
