MUM48 recieved a new logo in 2019 because of the MUM in the group name could meant the British abbreviation for "mother" (which caused a possible critizication against the British community) and the launch of the DEL48 project. The project was renamed to MUB48 to fit with the Mumbai community.
In 2021, the project was cancelled due of the COVID-19 pandemic.
