Magic FM is a Romanian radio station that broadcasts oldies music and adult contemporary music. owned by Antenna Group from Greece since 2014, it was owned previously by ProSiebenSat.1 Media from Germany until 2013, when ProSiebenSat.1 Media sold all of its Romanian operations. The radio station was previously named Uni-Fun Radio, Unifan Radio, Uniplus Radio and Radio Star. The radio station was launched by a group students, and it only had a license from Bucharest at the time when it was launched.

Uni-Fun Radio

Magic FM was launched as Uni-Fun Radio on January 11, 1990. The radio name, Uni-Fun Radio, means that Uni cames from the University of Bucharest, and Fun cames from Fun Radio from France.

Unifan Radio

On April 30, 1991, Uni-Fun Radio became Unifan Radio, after the disagreements between the Romanian and the French side. At the same time, the radio is divided into Unifun Radio (the Romanian part, which is based in Hotel Modern), and Fun Radio (the French part, which is broadcasting from the Roman areas).

Uniplus Radio

On April 30, 1992, Unifan Radio became Uniplus Radio, to avoid confusion wih Fun Radio, the radio has changed its studio, from Hotel Dorobanți, to Speranței street, then, to Latin Street and finally, to Delea Veche Street.

Radio Star

In 2001, Uniplus Radio was bought by Romanian businessman Cristian Burci, the owner of the Romanian television channel Prima TV, and at the same time, Uniplus Radio became Radio Star.

On February 1, 2006, Radio Star became Magic FM.

On November 14, 2017, Magic FM changed its logo, by giving up its colors and lines above this logo. The font of this logo was also changed.
