Mallplaza arrived in Colombia in 2011 with the opening of Mallplaza Cartagena, being the second most visited shopping center in Cartagena, surpassed only by Caribe Plaza.

Mallplaza opened its new mall in Manizales on August 16, 2018, followed by the opening of Mallplaza Buenavista on November 14, 2019.

In August 2020, Mallplaza acquired Centro Comercial Calima in Bogotá which was owned by Almacenes La 14. It was renamed to Mallplaza NQS on November 29 of the same year.

2023-present[]

On March 21, 2024, Mallplaza opened its doors in the capital of Valle del Cauca, Cali.
