Following less than stellar ratings in 2013, Network Ten focused their efforts to revitalise the series and create "a new, fresh version in 2014 that will appeal to the loyal MasterChef fans as well as new viewers"[1] The show's logo was slightly updated with a font change to a more modern, simple, flat serif type and the "m" hotplate logo received more defined arches.
