On April 29, 2022, PayMaya rebranded as Maya, after they launched their digital banking service.^[2]

Despite the rebrand, it still refers as PayMaya and it still used in some Smart Padala outlets (now known as Maya Center), and some store and bank partners in their QR code payment counters. With the updated branding in the payment counter being used in most stores and banks, the "formerly PayMaya" text is being placed under the QR code.
