This logo was first introduced to the Australians when McDonald's opened its first Australian branch in Yagoona, New South Wales on 30 May 1971. Some people call this Macca's.
1984–2003
In 1984, the logo was given a red background and the text became white.
2003–2006
2006–present
As part of the first restaurant redesign for decades, called 'Forever Young', the logo was redesigned.
