Mentari was launched on 1 September 1998 by Satelindo (now Indosat) to compete against Telkomsel's SimPATI.

In 2009, the logo was redesigned and the font was changed.

2012–2015[]

This logo was introduced by Indosat in December 2012 for the new-look of Indosat Mentari starter-packs that designed for smartphones, tablets and mobile phones.
