Meridia, also branded Reductil in some countries, was a brand for a prescription weight-loss drug known as sibutramine. It was marketed and sold by Abbott internationally between 1997 and 2010. It was taken off the market and discontinued in 2010 due to it causing an increased risk of cardiovascular complications.
