The camera icon was removed, while lines were added and a typing or chat bubble was added in the bottom right corner.
2014–2020[]
This icon update, the lines and gloss on the bubble and the depth on the ellipsis were removed and the gradient was flipped the other way.
2020[]
With the release of macOS Big Sur, almost every app icon was changed to look like iOS’s icon, using neumorphism which is a mix of flat design and skeuomorphism. This icon was used from macOS Big Sur betas 1 to 6.

This icon has been used since macOS Big Sur Beta 7.
