The Michigan Panthers later merged with the Oakland Invaders for the 1985 season.
2022–2025[]
The Michigan Panthers was revived to compete in the 2022-23 USFL season. Since the USFL-XFL merger in 2024, the Panthers also completed in the United Football League.
On October 3, 2025, the UFL officially announced that the team would be relocated. However, Mike Repole cited Michigan as a return candidate for 2028 when AlumniFi Field opens.
