Microsoft Data Analyzer was part of Microsoft Office. Microsoft originally purchased the software as part of the intellectual property of Maximal Innovative Intelligence. Maximal's "Max" product has been renamed Microsoft Data Analyzer. Although it was a standalone application and was not available in any Office package, it was part of Office. It has not been updated beyond version 3.5. Microsoft Data Analyzer allows you to analyze and visualize data and data trends and is integrated with SQL Server Analysis Services. Generated reports and charts can be saved as HTML, Microsoft Excel or Microsoft PowerPoint files. In 2007, Data Analyzer was retired along with Microsoft FrontPage.
