The retail Microsoft Store chain permanently closed in June 2020, due to difficulties caused by COVID-19. However, London, New York City, and Sydney have been converted into experience centers/centres. The London location closed on January 31, 2025, and the Sydney location closed on May 10, 2025, leaving New York City as the remaining one outside of Redmond, Washington.
