Microsoft SkyDrive

Windows Live was discontinued in 2011, so Windows Live SkyDrive was renamed to Microsoft SkyDrive.
2012–2014
The logo is given a Metro-style overhaul to match other apps in Windows 8. The word Microsoft is removed from the logo but the service is still named Microsoft SkyDrive.
Microsoft OneDrive
2014–2019
Microsoft lost a trademark infringement lawsuit by British Sky Broadcasting, and they agreed to change the name to avoid confusion with Sky. This renaming took effect on Microsoft platforms and services in February 2014.[1]
2019–present
On November 29, 2018, Microsoft announced that Office 365's program icons would be overhauled entirely, to match their new design language, "Fluent Design", replacing all "Metro" icons. The "OneDrive" name is no longer being used.
