1983-1985: Windows 1.0x (Interface Manager)[]

Despite the fact that more Windows 1.0 builds were made, the first confirmed build to have a boot screen was the Beta release (May 8, 1985). Windows 1.0 Preliminary Version 0.50 is currently still a lost build, but however some parts of the build have been recovered, including the boot screen. According to several MSDOS.EXE strings, the build might've been made in June of 1985. A similar situation also occurs with Windows beta V1.00.08.
