Microsoft Phone Companion app on Windows 10 was a file transfer tool for Windows 10 Mobile devices, as well as for iOS and Android. This app is also used for advertising its mobile apps if a user connects an Android or iOS devices.

In Windows 10 October 2018 update, The Phone Companion app was rebranded to Your Phone as it gained new features that now allows their PCs to send an SMS messages and see recent photos on their phones. Later it gained a feature to receive phone calls directly on a PC via Bluetooth, with some other features that are exclusively available to Samsung Galaxy and Microsoft Surface Duo users such as copy and paste between the device, and phone screen mirroring to PC.

With Microsoft releasing the May 2019 Update they've released new and redesigned icons for their apps. This was also used on Your Phone Companion app for Android devices.

On March 31, 2022, Microsoft rebrands both Your Phone (smartphone) and Your Phone Companion (PC) apps to Phone Link, and introduced its new interface. Phone Link's copy and paste and phone screen mirroring to PC features later became available to Honor devices in Mainland China.
