milkshake! was first launched upon Channel 5's launch on 31 March 1997.

2000–2002[]

By 2000, Milkshake ended up becoming more relevant to children, And they unveiled a new, child-drawn-like logo.

2002–2005[]

On 16 September 2002, following its parent channel's rebrand, the block adopted a new logo, coming at the same time that a new programming block was introduced. Another new block was launched in the following year.

2005–2017[]

On 26 December 2005, the block adopted a new look; its sister block would not adopt one similar to this until 2009. 

The 2005 idents were slightly updated in 2011, with the old presenters (Naomi Wilkinson, Beth Evans and Kemi Majeks) replaced with new ones (Jen Pringle, Derek Moran and Kemi Majeks).

2017–present[]

Sometime around July 2017, Milkshake! unveiled a new logo. Unlike the 2005 logo, the font is seen lowercase and it came in colors (with the addition of purple that year). The sun was redesigned to become more bigger and had shorter rays. The logo (along with the rebrand) took full effect on 24 July of the same year.
