Minimax is the Romanian version of the television channel with the same name. The television channel broadcasts cartoons, children's shows and live-action shows. It is owned by AMC Networks International Central and Northern Europe.

2001–2004

On 15 May 2001, Minimax started its test transmissions in Romania and Moldova. On 1 June 2001, the channel fully launched in Romania and Moldova.

In September 2004, Minimax changed its logo in Romania, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Until 3 November 2009, the Hungarian/Czech and Romanian/Serbian feeds used to be the same feed, and on 4 November, a separate feed was created for Romania, Moldova, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and North Macedonia.

After the logo was changed in Hungary on 1 July 2021, it was rumored that this logo would be launched in Romania the following month in August.

On 1 August 2021, Minimax changed its logo in Romania, using the same new logo used in Hungary.
