When Mitsubishi Motors decided to release the Attrage in the Philippine market in 2013, it decided to changed its name to Mirage G4 due to the Attrage name beng sounded similar to atrás, a Filipino or Spanish word for "going backwards" as well as the main Mirage series became hugely popular there. Mitsubishi Mirage G4 later launched in the US market.
