The Mitsubishi Electric is a Japanese multinational electronic and industrial company. Founded in 1921, the company produced a wide range of electronic products, including home appliances and machineries. It is the one of the 24 subsidiaries of the Mitsubishi family of companies .

The "Blue MITSUBISHI" logo was devised to used in Japan to provide the sense of individualism of Mitsubishi Group. In January 11, 2014, Mitsubishi Electric in Japan stopped to using this Blue MITSUBISHI logo in favor of single logo.
1985–2001 (international)[]
This logo was similar to the current logo but only the "MITSUBISHI" wordmark in black color, similar to the Blue Mitsubishi logo used in Japan, and their iconic three-diamonds logo.
2001–present (international), 2014–present (Japan)[]
On the commemoration of the company on 80th anniversary, the corporate philosophy was re-evaluated and the slogan was revised to "Changes for the Better" as a consistent message across both Japan and overseas. The "Blue MITSUBISHI" logo continued to be used inside Japan, when overseas operations used the complete "MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC" logo with three-diamonds. This purpose was for distinctiveness of the Mitsubishi Group.
Mitsubishi Electric in Japan started using this single red-three diamond corporate logo that was previously used outside Japan since 2001. The blue logo previously used in Japan was phased out in its rebranding.
