Launched:  September 25, 1964

In 1964, an updated and purely typographical mark for Mobil was introduced. It would gradually replace the previous logo, and by February 1, 1966, it would become the primary logo for the company. The red Pegasus was completely de-emphasized, but remains a secondary symbol for use on equipment, vehicles, and buildings.
