The present "batwing" logo was also introduced in June 1955, having been created by award-winning Chicago graphic designer Morton Goldsholl in late 1954. On January 4, 2011, Motorola divided into 2 entities; Motorola Mobility and Motorola Solutions and was made defunct on the same day.
