In 1988, Mountain Dew Red launched as a test product, it was a short lived drink, discontinuing the same year, a diet red was also made. they were both only released in Alabama. it was a "fruit flavored Mountain Dew".
Mountain Dew Red is not the same as Mountain Dew Code Red.
