The National Salvation Movement was created by Álvaro Gómez Hurtado in 1990. It was dissolved in 2006, 11 years after the assassination of Gómez Hurtado.
2021-present[]
In 2021, Enrique Gómez Martínez, nephew of the assassinated party leader, recovered the legal status of Salvación Nacional at the end of that year.
