This logo was designed by Julián Naranjo and the agencies Naranjo Diseño and Procorp[1].
In 1991 it was renamed as Compañía de Telecomunicaciones de Chile (Chile Telecommunications Company), keeping the CTC name and logo.
After complaints of many companies (such as Telefónica del Sur) arguing that Telefónica was a generic word, the name was changed to Telefónica CTC Chile.
In 2009, Telefónica Chile adopts the Movistar brand, until then only used for the mobile brand (formerly Telefónica Movil and BellSouth Chile), and uses the logo originally designed by Wolff Olins.
