Movistar Plus+ originally begun life as a Spanish version of the French TV channel Canal+, beginnng test broadcasts in June 1990 and officially launching in September that year.

1997–2005[]

In September 1997, Canal+ Spain saw a rebranding similar to the one the French counterpart had at the end of August 1995.

2005–2008[]

Canal+ Spain

On November 7, 2005, Canal+ Spain closed its analogue terrestrial transmissions and launched Cuatro in its place. The channel kept broadcasting, but only as an exclusive to Digital+.

2008–2011[]

On October 1, 2008, Canal+ debuted a new look. The new identity for all the Spanish Canal+ channels was created by Red Bee Media.

Canal+ 1 es

On October 17, 2011, Canal+ was renamed to Canal+ 1 and Digital+ took the Canal+ name.

On July 8, 2015, Canal+ 1's name was reverted to Canal+.

0 Movistar+

In 2016, Canal+ changed its name to #0 (read as Cero, Spanish for Zero).

0 por Movistar Plus+

Following a rebrand across all Movistar Plus+ channels in 2022, #0 was renamed as #0 por Movistar Plus+. [1][2].

2023–present[]

Movistar Plus+

#0 por Movistar Plus+ was renamed to Movistar Plus+ on August 1, 2023. A secondary channel called Movistar Plus+ 2 was launched in September 2023.
