Mozilla Fennec was the pre-release name of Firefox Browser for mobile platforms, such as Android and Windows Mobile. After the browser finally released, Mozilla would still use the Fennec name as the internal name for the Android version, until they introduced a new version based on GeckoView called Fenix.
